Following on from the merger of NI and iZotope in 2021, it has been announced that Plugin Alliance and Brainworx are also joining the party with a new company being formed called Soundwide.
In the era of consolidation and mergers, the new company Soundwide continues the trend. Bringing together the four companies, Native Instruments, iZotope, Plugin Alliance and Brainworx the company is aiming to make music-making “a more joyful and inspiring experience for creators everywhere by helping them to find, and stay in, their creative flow”
The news is bolstered further by a new brand, Sound Stacks, which is the creation of Cesare Ferrai and Jiulina Storie who is best known as the creator of JUCE. JUCE is the open-source audio application framework that powers many plugins and Sound Stacks is designed to help develop audio platform technologies.
Amongst a slew of big announcements is a who’s who of pop royalty joining the all-new Artist Board. Names needing no introduction are Alicia Keys, Jacob Collier, Ann Mincieli, EL-P, Ludwig Göransson, Noah Shebub and Young Guru.
The group of musicians will advise the Soundwide team on a regular basis, discussing creator needs, product roadmaps, community development and new methods of fostering inclusivity.
