How do you introduce someone who has racked up 12 million clicks on Spotify alone?
North Shields native Schak stormed onto the scene last year with his debut single ‘Movin All Around (‘Jumpin’)‘ featuring Kim English. Released on Trick, Patrick Topping’s label, the track quickly caught on.
With a who’s who on the remixes, including Skream and John Summit, Schak’s sound captured the summer. We’d have been keen to ‘introduce’ him towards the end of the last summer but it’s not been easy to track him down. He is after all ‘Moving All Around’ with a busy tour schedule ahead of him.

Moving All Around (Jumpin), because it represents where I come from. It’s the sound of the North East.

Tupac because he empowered me.

How did you get into DJing/ producing, to begin with?
I bought myself a set of decks and taught myself how to DJ.
What are three things on your studio shopping list?
Roland Juno 60, Korg mS2000, and a grand piano.
Who or what have you sacrificed for your art?
Time and lots of sunshine.
What’s been your favourite place to play so far?
The Lofts, Newcastle.
