Why music?
Because it’s the only magical thing I can do. I also fancied being a surgeon in my early years.
If you weren’t making music what would you be doing?
I would be making others do music. Or writing, lyrics, stories, scenarios.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Live and let live!
What inspires you?
People and things that are better than me. Unexpected challenges and victory over them.
What’s the next big thing?
Virtual reality.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Selling records in a shop, without having my own yet.
How do you know when a track’s finished?
You are your own judge. Listen on repeat until you can listen to the whole track without doubt. Also, that’s why you make deadlines.
What’s the easiest way to make it in the music industry?
There is no easy way – you can’t fake your skills. The times have changed – now you need everything on top level, which is very motivating.

What or who is underrated?
Nobody is underrated, just not trying hard enough.
What or who is overrated?
Nobody is overrated, it is the PR team doing a good job.
What are you addicted to?
My addictions are more like obsessions, they change every season, varying from food options to strange habits, and a few OCD things.
What do you lust over?
Music, of course, but also space, technology, and all the things that will make the future a better place.
What is your greatest regret?
I don’t have any great regrets, and I hope I won’t have any at the end of it!
What one thing would most improve your life?
Sun.
What’s the worst gig you’ve ever played?
Sorry, I forget bad things quite easy.
Collaboration: rich creative experience or pain in the ass?
It is the future! You can learn things faster. Also it’s a lot of fun and that’s 99% how the biggest songs are being made. Because of a load of talent put in it.
What’s the secret to a great mix?
Less is more.
How do you relax?
I take a walk or travel, see the people I love.
Art or money?
Professional modern art is valuable, so it has to be paid right. Art is a good place to start and find yourself. But it is easy to lose yourself here too without any progress!
Strangest place you ever wrote a track?
I think I have made a few strange tracks, not that the places were strange.
What’s your single biggest frustration in the music industry?
There can’t be any frustration with natural evolution of the art and industry. If you want to live your dream and make music, you must work hard.
What’s the worst thing about making music?
It is the computer screen.
What’s your motto?
Never thought about it, but this could be one of my favourites, it goes something like this: “Love yourself to love another.”
