“We’re here to make this place a peaceful one. Music has the power.” Marc Romboy takes on our quick-fire Q&A.
What are you listening to right now?
Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird.
What did you dream about last night?
I saw myself on a VHS video, as a teenager having fun with my mates and jumping around. Everything was so real, which scares me a bit to honest.
Who’s your hero?
No DJs, artists or football players are my heroes but people doing social jobs like nurses, firemen or paramedics.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever done?
Every single second I have spent with my kids.
What’s the secret of your success?
Success has a relative meaning. The love for the music keeps my head up.

Describe your dancing style.
I see my moves as synced expression to how I feel the music and rhythm.
What’s your biggest interest outside music?
Philosophy and space
Invent a genre to describe your music.
Space music.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever heard?
Tweeting birds. Their sound relaxes me and reminds me of acid house.
What don’t people know about you?
Maybe that I produced a little bit of commercial music back in the days. I was young and needed the money.
What is art?
The result of being creative in any way.
What makes you laugh?
My two sweet daughters can make me laugh a lot. Monty Python always works, too.
What makes you cry?
Moving music, even my own sometimes.
What’s the best thing you own?
Health. Material is not important and ephemeral.
What’s on your bucket list?
Although I travelled a lot already, visiting Ushuaia and the Galapagos islands are on top of the list. Also an off-time of half a year would be great.
What excites you?
Pure silence and a starry sky with lots of stars
What time is it? It's time for house. Always…

Tell us a secret.
I’m actually coming from a far-away galaxy where is no hate and just love. My mission is to help providing the same on earth.
What’s your fantasy?
Claiming I’m coming from a far-away galaxy.
Why are we here?
To make this place finally a peaceful one because violence and wars are nonsense. Music has the power to make this happen one day.
