Who are you?
Tecwaa…A producer/ DJ/ human based in York.
What do you sound like?
Lashings of atmospheric, percussive, emotive, analogue, rave suitable soundscapes.
Why should we listen to you?
I wouldn’t listen to me, but by all means listen to my music. You might enjoy it.
What have you released so far? What else have you got coming out in the near future?
My debut ‘The Last Hour” was a 4 track techno EP released on Frigio Records back end of 2017, with an incredible remix from Charles Manier.

Mid-2018 I did a remix for Roe Deers on the amazing Sulk Magic.
Shortly after this my second EP ‘El Kopan’ was released on the aforementioned label. 3 original tracks of mine with 3 outstanding remixes from label honcho Bird of Paradise, Urexboyfriend & Force Majeure.
Coming very shortly I have a third EP ‘We Are All Giants’ on Clouded Vision Recordings, with yet another great remix from Matt Walsh.
What song sums you up? Why?
Impossible to answer for me, sorry. I have such a wide range of influences musically in terms of genres, so I couldn’t sum me up in just the one track (maybe 20).
What or who is your biggest influence and why?
My friends & life experiences. My close circle of friends have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of music, so they’ve always been a huge influence. Travel and cultures I’ve always found incredibly enlightening, and important in this respect. Everything you live through, see, hear and digest I believe ingrains influences. Albeit maybe subconscious it finds a way to the surface during those creative moments.
Films/scores are also a big influence on me. My very first dabbles in production were in short film scores.

Where will you be in five years’ time?
I don’t think knowing or predicting your own future is too much of a pragmatic thing, but I’ll still be enjoying making music for sure.
