What’s the first record you ever bought?
I think it was maybe when I was 12 or 13 years old and I was trying to buy Nirvana but instead I bought UK psychedelic Nirvana. It was good though. Still love this record.
The first time you remember hearing electronic music?
Not sure it was literally the “first” but when I was about 13 years old I saw Aphex Twins “Come To Daddy” video. Pretty intense for daytime TV….
Your favourite ever record?
Killer question. Let me think. Hymies Basement: A 21st century pop song. Ask me any other time and youʼll get a different result.
The guaranteed floor-filler?
Huerco S. – Untitled (trp’s acid cut). So sweet, so acidic.
The guilty pleasure?
No idea! Thereʼs no such feelings about music. I feel a bit guilty watching cartoons though.
The last track of the night?
Seeing as last track track of the night is actually morning Westbam feat. Richard Butler – You Need The Drugs. It’s good to go to sleep after hearing it and it gets you mentally ready for Sunday.
The best chillout record?
Iʼm a huge fan of Berlin Scape Records. So any of those would work. But my beloved one is Jan Jelinek – Loop Finding Jazz Records.
The record everyone loves but you hate?
Ha! My friends would say any of my records and especially my songs…
The best record for a family party?
Johann Pachelbel – Canon in D major. Performed by Anton Batagov on piano.
The soundtrack to a lazy Sunday afternoon?
The Velvet Underground, Nico – Sunday Morning.
The worst record youʼve ever heard?
Any pop track but there are some exceptions that work I suppose.
The record you’re proudest of?
Itʼs hard to tell as it depends on my mood and the anti-depressants I take but my latest work I guess: Motherland.
The future classic?
No future.
