2021 has been equal parts great and trying. Gigs have been sporadic and a luxury for obvious reasons but I feel it’s been great for my production. I took some time aside to hone in on some music and production theory, amongst other steps forward in my approach to making music. It’s been a great reset and I feel like it’s the year that I’ve made the most progress in my music.
Although it’s been jarring not having gigs to play or go to for inspiration, my circle of producer friends have gone from strength to strength in their musical endeavours so it’s great to see positivity draped across a shitty backdrop. My latest release on Voitax, I feel, is the most honest release of mine to date, where I’ve felt I can really convey what’s going on in my brain into a finished expression of myself!
