Brighton’s eclectic producer Etch selects his top ten for October 2021, including tracks from Joy Orbison, Tyler The Creator, Samurai Breaks and more…

Follow Etch

Brighton based producer Zak Brashill aka Etch first rose to prominence in 2013 with debut vinyl releases Rise on Parris’ label Soundman Chronicles and Old School Methods on Keysound.

Initially known for focussing on the intricate and euphoric sounds of Metalheadz/Moving Shadow era jungle & d’n’b, Etch has always taken a left turn with each release under his belt which has seen him tackling UK Garage on EC2A & Dr Banana to the undefinable on Ilian Tape and Seagrave.

Now on over 25 records released since 2013 and continuing to push forwards with no sign of stopping in sight – 6 EPS and an album currently in the works.

Etch’s DJ sets are as far-flung as his productions weaving in hip hop, jungle, garage, dubstep, grime, footwork and just about everything else. You can get a taste of this on his Balamii radio show ‘Disconnecting The Dots With Etch‘, airing 1-3 am every second Wednesday of the month.
