Who are you?
I am M.E.M.O. I was born and reside in Malaga (Spain). I am a DJ/Producer who loves to perform LIVE. I love to travel, to feel free and my Mom’s croquettes.
What do you sound like?
I feel I have quite an eclectic sound. I have made my way through different sub-genres during my career, Electronica, Break Beat and Techno. Maybe, that’s why I like the mix between the organic groove and electronic sounds. I always want each track to be unique with its own story. My current productions, I would say, sit somewhere between Deep and Melodic Techno & House. But I am always looking for new textures and ways to create unique stories.
Why should we listen to you?
Why not? Everyone needs an escape from this kamikaze society. I offer happy tales to balance the scale.
If you take a listen to “Tai Tai” or “Lo Unico” in the morning, your day will be better. On the other hand, if you are alone and sad drinking a beer, “Another Night” could be the perfect soundtrack.
What have you released so far? What else have you got coming out in the near future?
I have released on labels including 4line, Tip Tap, Indigo Raw, Lust, Amoeba… But maybe the most relevant work is “All U Need” on Yoshitoshi Record, “Viking Princess” on Bedrock Records and of course “Tai Tai” on Mobilee Records, which has been my best selling track to date. Now, my second release on Mobilee, “Another Night “, will be released and I am also working on new music that will be out soon.
What song sums you up? Why?
I’m not sure I can say, simply because there is not just one song that sums me up. We are always evolving and a song cements and defines you.
What or who is your biggest influence and why?
As an artist, I feed on happiness, sadness, company and loneliness. Everything I see, smell, touch, eat and feel is what influences me. I think life itself is the only influence you need for a creative process.

Where will you be in five years’ time?
Hopefully, in 5 years I can keep living on this planet creating. I am in a good moment and I think better years will come for my career. I’d like to be collaborating with some artists that I admire, travelling a lot and making people happy with my music. Or maybe I will have 5 kids…who knows…
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
Maybe one of the things I find most interesting about myself is that I am, since a kid, really open-minded.
Over the years I have learned to see beauty where others don’t see anything. I learned to flow and appreciate whatever I have. I don’t need anyone’s approval.
I am able to enjoy being surrounded by others and equally being on my own. I think that you can see the more brilliant light in the darkness, as well as feel the unconditional and pure love in the loneliness.
