The last track of the night?

Definitely Ricardo Villalobos’s ‘Dexter’. I have seen this track bring so many people back from a drugged-out void at the end of the night. It’s just got this amazing groove to it. What you think is a very amazing techno track just evolves into this beautiful mesmerising piece of gorgeousness.

The soundtrack to a lazy Sunday afternoon?

This obviously changes year to year, but for the last few months I have been listening to War On Drugs’ Lost In The Dream. It has this amazing sense of nostalgia to it. In a lot of ways it reminds me of some spaced-out Bruce Springsteen album with a twist of Tom Petty and a dash of Kurt Vile. There’s not a track on this album that isn’t amazing in my view.

The best record for a family party?

Hand’s down it’s The Smiths – The Queen Is Dead. It’s the record that I think my girlfriend and I agree on the most. My daughters love it, too. It’s got enough mellowness for a relaxing party and enough energy to wear the girls out before bed time.
