The last track of the night?
I’m a sucker for something recognisable. Prince’s ‘Controversy’ regularly makes an appearance, Chicken Lips’ remix of Mark Ronson’s ‘Stop Me’, Henrik Schwarz’s remix of Jackson 5… Something hands in the air that people can sing along to.
The best record for a family party?
I was in Memphis last year and did a tour of the old Stax recording studios. I bought a compilation of their greatest hits and you can play that to anyone and they’ll dance. So I’ll say Sam & Dave’s ‘Hold On, I’m Comin”.
The future classic?
I’d like to think YSE’s ‘Bounce Back’ (which we put out on Lost My Dog) will be remembered for a long time. Sir Norman Jay played it on Radio 1 live from Notting Hill Carnival so that helped to enshrine it (at least in our eyes), and five years on it still puts a gloss in many an eye. I met Manuel Tur for the first time at Sonar last year and that record was all he could talk about!

On the dj luck mc neat thing… No, just no. That tune is one of the most rinsed garage tunes of all time, not to mention it was bitten entirely from Antonio. Seriously shit garage. Luck is a talentless hack. I cringe when I hear people calling that old school garage. Sorry just my 2c.
