The annual accelerator program from Beatport, Beatport Next, has announced its class of 2024.
Since its inception in 2021, Beatport Next has set out to cement the company’s support for rising talent. The focus is to provide artists with significant exposure across the range of The Beatport Group real estate. This extends to curated playlists, exclusive coverage on Beatportal, live streams, and social media support.
“We are thrilled to announce the Beatport Next Artists’ development program for 2024, growing from 8 to 12 exceptional artists hailing from diverse corners of the globe,” said Emilie Birks, VP of Marketing at The Beatport Group. “This expansion not only emphasizes our commitment to supporting local talent, but also underscores our dedication to showcasing a rich tapestry of musical genres.”
Last year’s eight selections ANNĒ, Closet Yi, Coco & Breezy, Confidential Recipe, HoneyLuv, Junior Simba, Lens & Mala Ikai have all made progress with their careers on the back of Beatport Next. This year, however, there is a 50% increase with twelve new artists across a broad range of sounds.
