UK house producer Danny J Lewis takes on an hour-long Maschine challenge to raise money for charity.
Whether it’s the looming pressure of a remix deadline or just a lack of spare leisure time, working against the clock is typically one of the most stressful, frustrating experiences for any producer.
UK house veteran Danny Lewis has challenged himself to the ultimate test: creating 60 original drum loops in 60 minutes in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. Danny hopes to raise £1,000 for the London hospital, which deals with over 200,000 children every year.
Danny – producer of late 90s UK garage classic ‘Spend The Night’ – will put his creativity to the test using NI Maschine. Each beat must contain at least four one-shot drum samples. All 60 beats will be made available for download and use in your own productions after the event.
The challenge will be broadcast live on Point Blank’s YouTube channel this Friday, February 1st, at 4pm GMT.
You can sponsor the event online at Danny’s Virgin Money Giving page.
