Akai Professional joins forces with Splice to allow for seamless integration of the Splice library from within your MPC.
The two companies will be celebrating the partnership at this years Amsterdam Dance Event with a special seminar on Thursday 18th October at De Brakke Grond. The event will be hosted by Attack Magazine.
Joining Attack on stage will be representatives from both companies, Jazzy Jeff, iLLA J (younger brother of Jay Dilla and sound designer/producer Jay Pulman of Capsun Pro Audio. The participants will discuss their own relationship with sampling and how developments such as Splice have helped their workflow.
The announcement comes at an exciting time as it’s 30 years since the first MPC, the Akai MPC 60, was released. Partnering with one of the biggest revolutions in sampling since, Splice, gives creators the chance to work with both old and new together.

The combination of our constantly evolving hardware solutions with the expansive, virtually limitless Splice library means that producers, beatmakers and artists will be able to create more quickly and more easily than ever before.”
Splice are equally enthused with Jonathan Lee, Chief Business Officer added: “This partnership is a really exciting step towards building a more open and connected creative ecosystem for musicians,” said Jonathan Lee, at Splice. “Cross-platform innovations like these help keep musicians in their creative flow.”
