This week’s mixes include RHR for International Tribe, Samuli Kemppi for Newtype Rhythms and Sophia Saze for Mixmag.
Sophia Saze for Mixmag. Dropping the latest mix for Mixmag’s Impact series is Brooklyn based Sophia Saze. Fresh from releasing her debut album ‘Self’ on Francis Harris’ Kingdoms imprint, the Dusk & Haze label boss skilfully interlaces 60 minutes of rave breaks, electro wonk and techno rhythms.
RHR for International Tribe. International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian, and for the latest episode he invites Brazilian artist RHR (aka Roniere Santos) for a spin. Celebrating his debut release on Danny Daze’s Omnidisc label, he contributes a compelling set of industrial breaks and electro.
Milanese for Electronic Explorations. As well as co-running the offshoot of Fabric Records in-house label Houndstooth, Rob Booth also runs this regular podcast series and record label of the same name. This mix comes courtesy of Milanese, originally broadcast in 2009 this is one of the classics in this now legendary series. Milanese moves through UK Funky and post Dubstep numbers in this excellently bass heavy re-run, that still sounds as fresh now as it did 10 years ago!
Samuli Kemppi for Newtype Rhythms. Finnish artist Samuli Kemppi provides the new mix in the Newtype Rhythms series, blending deep electronics, experimental house and atmospheric tech during this superb selection.
