Ron Bacardi for Business As Usual. As well as running the legendary Classic Music Company alongside Derrick Carter, Luke Solomon also presents the monthly ‘Business As Usual’ show on Radio FG. For the May edition, Ron Bacardi (AKA Ben Sims in his house & disco guise) drops a 45 minute mix of jackin’ and groovin’ house cuts.
DJ TLR for ACME. Recorded live at the Aquarius venue in Zagreb, DJ TLR spins a mix for club night ACME. The owner of Crème Organization label plays nearly 3 hour’s of housey rave licks and classic gems (Legowelt’s ‘Elements of Houz’ being a particular highlight).
Clara! for Strange Sounds From Beyond. The Spanish born, Brussels based selector Clara! curates the new mix for SSFB. Serving as a nice warm-up for her forthcoming performance at the Strange Sounds From Beyond festival alongside Maoupa Mazzocchetti, she blends an excellent 50 minutes of Reggaeton bangers.
High Hoops for Ace & Tate. Eyewear design brand Ace & Tate are also curators of this superb mix series, inviting some of the most exciting underground artists to spin. This month is the turn of Manchester based duo High Hoops, who provide a set of funk beats, cumbia and breaks.
