Nicky Siano  Live at the Gallery  Part 2. After a great response to Nicky Siano‘s first recording of the legendary party he started – The Gallery – from 1972, Wax Poetics have convinced the pioneering disco DJ to crack open the vault once again. Part two is a rare recording of Siano playing in 1976, with all of the selection and mixing prowess you’d expect to hear, and even a live drum machine jam around the 27-minute mark. Locked into Ø. Number ten from the podcast series of the party and label Dekmantel comes from UK techno producer Ashley Burchett aka Ø [Phase], in the form of a 75-minute set of gradually unfolding atmospheric textures and hypnotic grooves. The beats are tensely restrained with the control of an artist who’s been doing this for the past fifteen years, during which Burchett has also released many records mostly via the Token label.
