This week’s top mixes include Juan Maclean’s snow day, Posthuman’s acid-fuelled trip and Laurel Halo’s hybrid rhythms.

Laurel Halo’s Hybrid Rhythms. Having recently composed the soundtrack to a collaborative piece featuring the Japanese virtual pop star Hatsune Miku, classically-trained Berlin-based electronic musician Laurel Halo joins Berlin Community Radio for two hours of hybrid rhythms and bass. Stream above.

Posthuman’s Acid-Fuelled Trip. London acid house and techno duo Posthuman gear up to release an album of “rarities, unheard mixes, and previously vinyl-only tracks” with their contribution to If-Only webzine’s podcast series. It’s an hour-long, acid-fuelled trip through squelching 303 basses and rugged percussion, exploring both classic and contemporary sounds. Stream above.

Pearson Sound’s Unreleased. Four Tet asks Pearson Sound to join him on his BBC Radio 1 show, sitting in for Benji B, for a segment of mostly dark contemporary techno and electro in Hessle Audio‘s signature style, featuring unreleased tracks from himself, label-mate Pangaea, Rudeboyz and Peverelist. Stream above, track listing here.

Gerry Read’s Original Productions. The UK’s low-key house hero Gerry Read joins LA’s Timetable Records, who recently released Read’s latest EP as a flexi disc and t-shirt package, for the third Timetable podcast. He plays’s lo-fi soulful house originals, along with some remixes and edits – all his own. Stream above, track listing here.
