This week’s mixes include Bufi for Deep House Amsterdam, Lee Gamble for NTS and Nhar for Wildwood.
Nhar for Wildwood. Italian artist Nhar drops in for this week’s Wildwood Mix. Having enjoyed releases recently on revered labels such as Crossfrontier Audio, My Favourite Robot and Seven Villas, Nhar’s sound is unmistakably melodic. Staying true to his sound in this mix, he takes us on a journey through deep and moody numbers, keeping a firm focus on the groove he spins tracks by Hunter/Game, Mano Le Tough and Marvin & Guy.
Bufi for Deep House Amsterdam. The latest in the Deep House Amsterdam mix series comes courtesy of Bufi. The vibes are throughout in this one and the music is perfect for a dark sweaty basement, as Bufi drops tracks full of Moog-esque analog basslines and percussive cowbell licks.
Lee Gamble for NTS Radio. Lee Gamble returns for his monthly slot on NTS, the UIQ label boss works his way through the bpm’s, beginning with some ambient breaks, moving up to stomping electro and dedicating most of the 2nd hour to drum n bass.
Charlotte Bendicks for Hypnotic Groove. Inverness based collective Hypnotic Groove run a label, club night and podcast series under the same umbrella. Inviting Norway’s Charlotte Bendicks for #230. She mixes up a delightful 80 minutes of deep, dark and chugging house music.
Great Circles for WKDU. WKDU is a student run radio station, based out of Drexel University in Philadelphia. Great Circles record label take over for this edition, dropping up-tempo booty-shakin electro. The 2-hour show includes a live set by Heckadecimal sandwiched in-between sets from Westov Temple.
