This week’s mixes include Throwing Snow for DJ Mag, The Juan Maclean for Slothboogie and The Reactivitz for Techno Raves.

The Reactivitz for Techno Raves. Stepping up for the latest in the Techno Raves podcast series is The Reactivitz. Crafting an energetic mix that occasionally takes a breather by veering off into atmospheric or melodic territory before plunging back into upfront and stomping techno rollers.

Robag Wruhme for Mixmag. Having recently celebrated the release of his double EP ‘Wuzzelbud FF’ on Hart & Tief, Robag Wruhme provides the new podcast for Mixmag’s ‘In Session’ series. Always keen to put an original slant on the traditional 2 decks, one mixer approach, Robag Wruhme uses ‘additional sample fragments and layers … only using some parts of a track and not the entire thing.’ This results in a blend of house and tech flavours, that constantly evolves through acid, deep and dub techno … minimal music but with a heavy emphasis on the groove.

The Juan Maclean for Slothboogie. London based record label Slothboogie enlist DFA’s The Juan Maclean for their latest podcast. Enjoying plenty of releases and remixes this year, The Juan Maclean step up for this mix dropping disco, funk and leftfield cuts, all with a firm focus on the dance floor.

Throwing Snow for DJ Mag. With his new LP about to drop on Houndstooth, Throwing Snow provides a guest mix for DJ Mag. This mix is a solid representation of Throwing Snow’s eclectic tastes, switching back and forth between 4×4’s and breakbeats, he mixes up techno and UK bass with a big D&B influence.

El Mundo for Nômade. Nômade is a hotel in Tulum, Mexico. More of a retreat than a hotel, a place for relaxation and mindfulness. On the music side they run a studio, regularly working with DJ’s and producers in residence and provide a rather fine weekly podcast. The latest one is bBerlin-baseded El Mundo, who spins a set of chilled melodic house. Keeping the BPM’s low, this is 90 minutes of incredibly relaxing electronic music.
