Marcel Dettmann on Dekmantel’s New Podcast. Techno powerhouse Marcel Dettmann inaugurates the Dekmantel collective’s new weekly podcast series with a very special 90-minute live recording from New Year’s Eve 2014 at Berghain, where he holds a residency. “Supple and seductive, then freaky and funky, then deliciously dark and increasingly weird towards the end.” Stream and download above.

One of the heroes of Chicago’s pioneering ghetto and booty house label Dance Mania, Charles E Chambers III aka DJ Funk “hits it from the back – and beyond” with lo-fi, high energy club bangers in an exclusive mix promoting Bloc 2015 festival, which he’ll be playing at in march. Luke Solomon’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. “I wanted to showcase a little bit of my history and my affiliation with Chicago and hopefully play some hidden treasures that people hadn’t heard before. I also wanted to include some of my productions and forthcoming unreleased stuff. And I really wanted to record it live on CDs, USBs and vinyl.
