Feature Film on Frankie Knuckles and The Warehouse. A feature film documenting the work of Frankie Knuckles, The Warehouse founder Robert Williams and the early days of house music is scheduled to be shot in Chicago. Titled The Warehouse, it is being produced by Bob Teitel, whose previous films include Men Of Honor and Barbershop. Find out more here.

Online music collaboration platform Blend and rare reissue label The Numero Group invite you to remix ‘Once In A Lifetime’ by Universal Togetherness Band, a track from the explorative jazz-fusion group’s remixed and remastered multitrack sessions, recorded in Chicago’s premier recording studios between 1979 and 1982. Rapidshare Closure Announced. One of the internet’s premier file-sharing sites has announced that it will close on March 15, following a period of decline for the site, which sacked three-quarters of its staff in 2013 after criticism over allegations of copyright infringement – the BBC reports.

U.S. Copyright Office Considers Licensing Proposals. the U.S. Copyright Office is considering what would be the most radical changes to its music licensing regime in nearly half a century. If adopted, these proposals would impact all aspects of the music industry. The Hollywood Reporter reports.
