Baron Von Luxxury, Warner Music Spar Over ‘Hotel California’ Remix. LA producer Baron Von Luxxury‘s unauthorized edit of ‘Hotel California’ was removed from SoundCloud by Warner Music Group, who co-own the Eagles’ 1976 hit. “They’ve just unceremoniously cut off my generous, selfless efforts to keep them relevant” the Baron responded. Disco Demolition Night. The events on the 12th of July 1979 were one of the most symbolic and prolific in dividing people within music. Attendants of the Chicago White Sox’s Disco Demolition Night blew up a huge bin filled with disco vinyl whilst chanting “Disco Sucks” in an event since described as akin to “Nazi book burning”. Teenage Engineering’s $50 Drum Machine. At Norberg festival ’14, the creators of revered instrument the OP-1 unveil their PO-12, a $50 drum machine and sequencer with 16 sounds and 16 effects. There is a slight delay in development, but they’re confident that it’ll be released in 2015. Watch it in action above.

Having premiered it at Musikmesse 2014 in Frankfurt, Germany, synth developers Waldorf announce the availability of their Streichfett String Synthesizer – bringing back to life previously extinct vintage string synth sounds with a modern-day musical twist.
