Every sound of the TR-707 and TR-727 Rhythm Composers have been faithfully reproduced using the original PCM wave data and detailed models of the original circuitry, and some new Roland TR sounds too. Fabric Licence Threat Resolved. London superclub Fabric has agreed to introduce sniffer dogs and ID scanners following the threat of having its licence revoked as a result of four drug-related deaths at the venue. More than 30,000 people signed an online petition in support of the club. The Evening Standard reports on the new measures.

A Boards Of Canada KONTAKT Bank. BOCS Volume 2 is the second in Audiowarp’s series of dynamic ambient pad machines for KONTAKT, which are dedicated to replicating Boards Of Canada‘s style of synthesis. It makes use of methods used by the duo themselves – vintage analogue synths, 4-tracks, valve amps, even VHS recorders were used to create this authentic sample bank, which comes as 13 new sample patches featuring pads, keys and drones. Beatport To Introduce Streaming Service. The Wall Street Journal reports that Beatport owners SFX Entertainment now have plans to launch a completely free, ad-driven online streaming service that will give users access to the entire Beatport catalog. Read the full story here.
Free Korg Volca Sample Editor Released. Developed by Single Cell Software, Caustic Editor is a free application that enables you to “import, load, record, edit and upload samples for use with your Volca sample”. The software can handle any uncompressed mono or stereo WAV file of any sampling rate or bit depth, and there are processing options and effects available.
