Juan Atkins accuses The DJ List of Racism. Detroit techno pioneer Juan Atkins has called the overwhelming lack of black artists on The DJ List‘s top 100 a “slap in the face”, on his Facebook fan page, accusing the San Francisco-based directory of racism. The ranking is determined by user votes, search engine relevancy, and the site’s own custom-made algorithm. LEME to host talks and panels at Bloc 2016. The London Electronic Music Event has outlined its full daytime programme, to be held in partnership with this year’s Bloc Weekend festival, where they’ll be hosting prominent artists for the first time, including talks, panels and workshops with Carl Craig, Daniel Miller and DJ Bone. Junction 2 Line-up Announced. The line-up of new techno Junction 2 has been announced, confirming that Drumcode, The Hydra and Closer will be hosting stages. Dixon, Adam Beyer, Innervisions founders Âme and more are all set to play this year, at a secret location on Saturday 4th June. More info here.
