After rumours abounded online, Native Instruments has announced the Traktor X1 MK3 DJ controller.

Native Instruments has announced the upcoming release of the Traktor X1 MK3 DJ controller, marking the beginning of their latest product lineup for the fall season.

Designed to balance portability, effects control, and user-friendly operation, the Traktor X1 MK3 is a compact and modular controller that builds upon its predecessors, the X1 MK1 and MK2 models.

Native Instruments has leaned heavily on its community to influence the enhancements. Most of these requests are in areas such as effects control, playback manipulation, looping, mixer mapping, and more.

An important new feature of the Traktor X1 MK3 is its visually intuitive design, crafted to enable DJs to rely less on a laptop. It comes with five OLED displays, with all the important track and FX information—such as track progress, track names, loop size, selected effects, and effect parameters.

You now also get an advanced lighting system, offering real-time notifications regarding track status. Additionally, DJs can personalize their experience by selecting from a range of colors to suit their aesthetic preferences.

One of the prominent additions to the Traktor X1 MK3 is the “Mixer Mode.” This feature allows DJs to swiftly transition from effects mode to mixer mode with a single button press. It provides direct control over EQs and channel levels, allowing seamless track changes while simultaneously monitoring all fourchannel levels on the OLED displays.

Traktor X1 MK3 also offers customisation. DJs can adapt mapping using a customization page within Traktor Pro and conveniently identify different functions through color-coded button groups. The incorporation of a three-port powered USB hub extends connectivity options, enabling integration with CDJs, personalized setups, or additional X1 units.

It comes with the latest version Traktor Pro 3, featuring time-stretching, an enhanced limiter, a wide array of effects, and extensive workflow customization options.
