Polyverse Music has introduced Filtron, a free filter plugin.
The Filtron filter, a dynamic 12dB state-variable filtration system, adeptly transitions across the spectrum of lowpass, bandpass, and highpass configurations. Demonstrating intrinsic self-oscillation capabilities, it achieves resonance levels of noteworthy magnitude, ascending to a maximum of 11.
Additionally, the Filtron module incorporates a robust internal saturation algorithm, augmenting the tonal profile with a substantial and resonant quality. Notably, a distinctive post-overdrive effect is also encompassed, affording users a choice between two modes: ‘cold’ to deliver a crystalline sharpness, and ‘hot’ for an intensified and impactful outcome.
The parameters of Filtron are amenable to modulation through sidechain input, utilizing CV generators like Gatekeeper. In a stereo configuration, each channel within a pair is treated as an independent modulation source, with the option to bifurcate into stereo. Moreover, Filtron has been tailored for optimal performance when subjected to audio rate modulation.
“After Supermodal, Filtron is the second filter in the Polyverse Filter Trilogy” said Assaf, CEO of Polyverse Music. “We’re excited to release this deliciously musical filter for free to the creative community.”
Filtron is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats. It can be used in 64-bit instances with Windows 7 and up, as well as Mac OS X 10.13 and up (Intel and Apple silicon).
Filtron is available to download for free.
