What is Quick Mix?
Quick Mix is a new series on Attack Magazine’s YouTube channel. Borne out of our interviews in the QnA series, we’ve decided to take the format and redesign it for video.
In episode 2 we welcomed DJ and broadcaster Emerald into the studio. Emerald lists herself on IG as “very tall”, which is true, but the DJ, broadcaster is so much more than that. A fountain of knowledge when it comes to all things UK bass music, a long term and highly admired Rinse FM DJ as well previously M.I.A’s touring DJ. It’s been a whirlwind few years and in 2020, ‘Afters at Emerald’s’ was nominated for ‘Best Solo Stream Series’ in the DJ Mag 2020 awards. However, with life on the road also being curtailed during the pandemic, Attack was grateful that lockdown kept Emerald in London, and that we were able to invite her into the studio to record a Quick Mix episode.
WHO ELSE IS FEATURING IN SEASON 1 OF QUICK MIX?
Quick Mix season 1 is a six-episode season with the final episode featuring Cici showing on September 15th 2021.
