Popular dance music authority, Secretsundaze, has introduced Secretsundaze Studios Remote a new online music production learning portal.
Secretsundaze has used the lockdown to finish and unveil Secretsundaze Studios Remote. The dance music tastemakers, who’ve kept the party alive since 2002, have now added to the mix a service designed to give back to producers looking for inspiration, feedback and professional advice to advance their career.
Remote Learning and Feedback
Musicians using the Secretsundaze Studios Remote can benefit from the new online portal and services to mature their sound, finish tracks and prepare their demo without leaving the house.
One of the key aspects to Secretsundaze Studios Remote is the feedback whereby the team provides a detailed online feedback service from the Secretsundaze Studios’ team of professional engineers. Feedback is provided either in written form or via a 1-2-1 video session.
Customers can expect a detailed analysis across technical and creative aspects of tracks with suggestions on improvements and how to take those essential steps to your final mix. The written feedback is received just 48 hours after a track has been submitted.
For a more visualised approach, aspiring producers can have detailed, live 1-2-1 Video Feedback sessions with Nathaniel Pearn AKA DrumTalk, a renowned producer and studio engineer who’s released records on Huntleys & Palmers, Soundway and Moxie’s On Loop to name but a few.
An affordable remote option
Via Zoom, Nathanial will work through submitted projects, giving the same detailed feedback on technical and creative aspects but in a more explorative and collaborative setting.
An affordable remote option for problem-solving and development in real-time, it’s the virtual equivalent to a Secretsundaze Studios session, with the additional benefits of finishing with a revised Logic / Ableton project, a video recording of the session to revisit at your leisure, and a plan for how to apply the final touches.
Furthermore, using Zoom’s Remote Control and Audiomovers’ essential ‘Listen To’ plug-in, audio can stream seamlessly from a Logic or Ableton project directly to Nathaniel, and he’s able to take control of the projects and demonstrate what he’s referencing in real-time and on a clients device.
Secretsundaze co-founder, James Priestley, elaborates:
“Since working at Secretsundaze Studios, it’s become clear that alongside technical help, clients of all abilities really value and appreciate receiving honest, informed and objective feedback that relates specifically to their work. Formalising this into a format that is accessible, no matter where you’re based, is both an exciting and natural progression!”
