Originally part of its CoSo mobile app, Splice has now integrated its AI-powered ‘Stacks’ into its website with the ‘Create’ feature.
Splice has furthered its AI tool offerings. Splice Create uses artificial intelligence to trawl the platform and provide the user with new ways of layering samples.
It’s easy to use. Simply select your preferred genre and it will create a Stack, based on your selection. From there you can tweak it by adding/removing the samples and some basic mute/solo, volume functions.
If you don’t like what you hear, you can hit the new Stack and it will start again for you.
If you do like what you hear, you can download the samples, even in time stretched stems, to use in your studio. There is also an option to export a Live Session File.
Up to eight loops can be stacked together, with samples grouped into buckets such as pads, chords, vocals, brass and keys.
Search overload has been a bugbear for many Splice users over the past few years suggesting this initiative is attempting to address the issue. If you’re looking to save time, this might be for you.
The feature is free to use, though you pay for any samples you export.
